Tim,

The product continues to evolve and remains in my opinion first class, well done.

I planned a route from Caernarfon (EGCK) to Bembridge (EGHJ) and back. During this and the return journey it became apparent that it might be useful if some form of vertical planning element.

What I mean is that if during a leg of the journey I am climbing for an extended period (e.g FL95 !) at a lower airspeed (e.g 120kts) than my cruising airspeed (e.g 145kts) then this has a bearing on the time estimate of a leg.

Also if I choose to descend at cruising speed, thereby saving fuel, I don't benefit and "catch up" later on that leg.

May be the easiest way to implement this is to place a section on the airplane settings for speed in the climb, speed in the descent ?

Do you get what I mean???

Unless the toggle function has been changed recently, information is only available for two points. Next way point and destination waypoint. If my flight is long and spans some 200 plus miles it is likely that I have say 4-6 way points between departure and arrival aerodromes. The info for say way point 3 or 4 would not be available by the toggle function immediately after departure. This information is however, is hiding within SD, and can be brought out in an easily legible table.

The table does not have to fit the screen en-toto. It can be made big by design and can be scrolled through via the touch screen.

Essentially it means the whole automatically up-dated flight plan be made visible within mobile SD. If ATC reuested ETA to the third or fourth way point, there would be no need to do mental arithmetics during the flight.

Indeed Most GPS sets I know, (I still have 2 others Garmin pilot III and Skyforce and hope to ditch both for SD) have this important function, which is very useful in destination flying. Obviously this function won't be so important for short flights or just flying "around the block".

Very Newbytheway
